Tell Us In 10: Louise Dearman

Published 15 August 2025

In our profile series, Tell Us In Ten, we ask cast members and creatives of top London shows to tell us all about themselves in just 10 questions. From how they got their start in the industry to their favourite shows, we want to know everything.

This week we chatted to Louise Dearman, who’ll be performing in Gravity at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane. She’ll be joined by Kerry Ellis (you can read her Tell Us in 10 here) and Rachel Tucker for one exclusive performance in a spectacular celebration of the roles that defined them, the songs that shaped them, and the journey that made them stars.

1. My route into theatre was…

I started dancing at the age of three and at 12 years old, I was in the children’s choir in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the London Palladium. This naturally progressed into wanting to train at theatre college. I trained at Laine Theatre Arts – I absolutely loved my three years there.

2. My West End idol is…

Ruthie Henshall! An absolute legend!

3. My colleagues would describe me as…

Professional, organised, fun (I hope).

4. My favourite show is…

I’m going to say Blood Brothers. It doesn’t matter how many times I’ve seen it, it always hits as hard.

5. The career moment I’m most proud of is…

Opening the Festival of Remembrance live on BBC One. What an honour.

6. The hardest part about my job is…

Having to spend any time away from my daughter.

7. If I wasn’t an actor, I would be…

A beauty therapist.

8. Something people don’t know about me is…

I used to compete in BMX competitions as a kid.

9. The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is…

You won’t be thinking about how many followers you had in your deathbed – NOT important!

10. The one thing I wish I could tell my younger self is…

You are more than enough and don’t need to compare yourself to others.

You can see Louise, alongside Kerry and Rachel, in Gravity at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane on Sunday 31 August.
